You can climb the Pitons, swim in the valley or just simply look at them from one of the many vantage points on land or sea.

For the thrill seeker…

Enjoy a bird’s eye view ofSt Lucia’s magical rainforest on this exhilarating canopy adventure.  Rain Forest Sky Rides offer two choices to choose from.  You can opt to either take the tramway that will enlarge your perspective of the canopy of the rainforest dramatically.

Alternatively, you can step out of your comfort zone and take the zip-line, which is a flying fox with 10 separate lines, you will be sure to have the ride of your life!

If you choose the later you will zip along suspended by cables with brief pauses on nine different platforms, each with its own awe inspiring view.  Trained tour guides are stationed on each platform and provide you with information and safety procedures.

Anse Chastanet Picturesque walk

Anse Chastanet is set only 1 mile from Soufriere. However it is a steep but picturesque walk.  It is a sheltered bay, protected by protruding cliffs and tall palm trees.  There is a permanent dive shop situated where you can hire snorkelling or other dive items to explore the waters and inhabitants of the sea more closely. Anse Chastanet is only a 35-minute walk from Soufriere, however, you will want to prepare for steep but picturesque terrain.  This is a great option for those of you who are looking to increase your physical and emotional wellness in St Lucia.

Sulphur Springs

Welcome to the world’s only drive in volcano! Although it sounds as though you would be walking into a set from a Jurassic Park film, don’t despair there really isn’t any crater or cauldron of magma, but there is a stench like rotten egg smell to look forward too and the boiling and bubbling mud to view.

Diamond Botanical Gardens

Diamond Estate Botanical gardens has designed an all inclusive setting with waterfalls and mineral baths.

Morne Coubaril Estate

For those of you interested in learning about the economic history before the great age of tourism then head to Morne Coubaril Estate where you can walk through traditional buildings and the ruins of sugar mills, and plantations of coconut and cocoa.

The Pitons

The mighty pitons are not only intimidating features of stark beauty but are also spectacular challenges to be climbed during your wellness holiday in St Lucia.  Both will take a full day to climb.  Petit Piton is the stepper of the two and is a more difficult climb.  You would be recommended to hire a guide for these walks as the tracks can be wayward and the flora and fauna is remarkable.

Cycling

For those of you who enjoy seeing the island on two wheels, then why not head over to Anse Chastanet and invest in your health and wellbeing while in St Lucia by taking one of the many mountain bike trails.  Anse Chastanet has specifically invested in purpose built mountain bike trails, all of which vary in difficulty.

Malgretout

Here you will find the Pitons Waterfall, where you can expect to see magnificent rainforest species and can soak up the many mineral quenches of the waterfalls.

Diving and Snorkelling

Think rugged landscape pocketed with reefs and overflowing with mysterious sea life. The crystal clear waters and spectacular reefs of the St Lucian islands offer great diving, with corals to explore.  Many of the islands resorts will offer dive gear and courses.

Island Resorts and Spas

St Lucia’s beaches are open to the public, however, it has been noted that they are not renowned for their cleanliness, or sparseness, so you may want to investigate other swimming options.  Rodney bay, although busy with resorts has a nice stretch of oceanfront swimming.
